The power of Switch 2 was evaluated in detail by game developers. The new generation console revolutionizes graphics and performance.
Nintendo’s new console Switch 2is getting ready to make a big impact in the gaming world with its performance. Jerrel Dulay from Sungrand Studios evaluated the technical power of the console through new Mario Kart images. Dulay stated that Switch 2 is much more powerful and offers more advanced graphics features compared to the previous Switch model. Especially models with real-time shadows, volumetric lighting and higher polygon count reveal the capabilities of the console.
Graphics and Performance Features of Switch 2
Switch 2 makes a significant leap forward in graphics technology. According to Dulay, advanced visual effects such as volumetric lighting and unique textures reveal the powerful hardware of the new console. Stating that the previous Switch model had difficulty running such features at high frame rates, Dulay stated that Switch 2 has overcome these obstacles.
Additionally, striking details in Mario Kart images include fabric simulations, reflective textures and real-time movements of the flags. Dulay estimates that the Switch 2 may have a RAM capacity between 12-16 GB. The fact that all these features run at 60 fps proves how far the console has come in terms of performance.
Switch 2’s development tools also offer a great advantage for game developers. Jerrel Dulay stated that he had to shelve some game projects due to the limitations of the Unity engine in the previous Switch model. However, thanks to the more advanced technology of Switch 2, he thinks that these projects can now be realized.
Nintendo will share more details about Switch 2 and its games at the Nintendo Direct event on April 2. While it is announced that the console will be compatible with most Switch games, early trial opportunities will be offered in select cities in April. Switch 2 is estimated to be released in June.
