Swedish skier William Poromaa took his first career World Cup win on Sunday in Les Rousses, France. He batted in a tight closing stretch Iivo Niskanen.
Poromaa had a special journey home after the race.
After the race, he had to undergo a doping test, which can be taken two hours after the race at the earliest. After that, the plane got busy.
– I just waited. The others packed my things and drove to the airport. I came with my own ride, Poromaa said for Aftonbladet.
Poromaa was finally sitting on the plane wearing a racing suit, a number tag on his chest and a mask on his face.
Poromaa was finally able to take off his competition outfit and take a shower at the hotel in Arlanda, Stockholm, where he spent the night. On Monday there was a car trip to Sundsvall.
