Before the Berlinale premiere: New trailer for the sci-fi film Mickey 17 starring Robert Pattinson
Mickey 17 – Trailer 2 (German) HD
Mickey 17 is based on the novel Mickey 7 – The Last Clone by Edward Ashton. The story revolves around Michael Barnes, known as Mickey for short, who volunteers for dangerous missions in space and on alien planets. If something goes wrong, no problem: his next clone is already in the starting blocks.
But then what shouldn’t happen happens: an old version of Mickey survives while the new one is activated. Suddenly stop two Mickeys in the room and cause chaos. Based on the trailer, Bong Joon-ho uses this premise to create a highly entertaining mix of science fiction and comedy.
His star is completely on board with the thing: Pattinson even brings the Mickeys to life with two different accents. In general, Mickey 17 fits in wonderfully with the same chaotic and fearless filmography of the former Twilight star. Here you will find one surprise after another.
Pattinson isn’t the only familiar name in the cast. Naomi Ackie, known from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, can be seen at his side. They are joined by The Walking Dead star Steven Yeun, Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette, who is currently wowing Juror #2 in the new Clint Eastwood film.
