Nintendo Switch 2 vs Switch 1: The most important differences in detail

Bildumbrella size: The display is quite a bit larger compared to the old Switch model. How much larger is not officially known. The normal Switch has a 6.2-inch display, the OLED model has a 7-inch display.

Console and Controller Size: The Switch 2 has become slightly larger compared to the old model. This also applies to the Joycons, which are now slightly larger. An alternative to the Joy-Cons is the Pro Controller.

Attaching the joyCons: The new Joy-Cons are no longer connected to the screen by sliding them down. With the Switch 2, the controllers are simply attached magnetically.

Additional USB port: In addition to the headphone jack, there is another USB-C port. This has the advantage that you can connect more devices to the Switch 2. For example, an adapter for a gaming headset.

New kickstand: There was criticism of the cheaply made kickstand on the old Switch; the stand on the OLED model has been greatly improved. The Switch 2 uses a completely new stand. The Switch 2 with the new foot can be tilted significantly further back than the old models.

New button on the Joy-Cons: Some people have already noticed that there is a new button below the home button on the Joy-Con. So far we can only speculate as to what it is good for.
