Since yesterday you can fight and catch a legendary Dyna monster for the first time in Pokémon GO. But the community is not very happy about it.
Since Dynamax Battles were unlocked in Pokémon GO, there have already been a few monsters released in this form. Even the more powerful form, Gigantamax battles, have already found their way into the game.
As of this week, Dyna-Arktos is now the first legendary Dyna Pokémon in Dyna battles. But there are some trainers in the community who criticize this.

“I will never touch Dynamax or Gigantamax again.”
What is the community criticizing? There was already criticism from the community when the legendary Dyna Raids were announced. It was criticized that there are no decent counter-Pokémon for Arktos, Zapdos and Lavados.
Now that Trainer has been able to complete the first Dyna Raids against Arktos, additional points of criticism have arisen. In a post on Reddit, trainer dapren22 complains about the following:
“I just spent an hour defeating a Dyna-Arktos with 3 trainers, a level 39, level 38 and me level 50. We all had the right counters, almost 3000 WP, highly leveled attacks, and couldn’t win. This completely put me off and I will never touch Dynamax or Gigantamax again.”
Careless-Reference39 also notes in the same post: “The amount of candies you need to improve your attacks alone is crazy.”
In addition, the timer in the lobby is criticized. Once 4 players gather in the Dyna lobby, the timer is reduced to 10 seconds, which is problematic according to QuietRedditorATX on Reddit:
“Once you are 4 players, the countdown will go down to 10 seconds. This can lead to a lot of haste when changing your team. Also, you only have a short amount of time to make sure that your team consists of the right 4 people and that there isn’t a random player on it.”
Other commenters note that they find it difficult to find the right number of trainers in their rural area. There you would like the opportunity to take part in a Dyna battle like in a long-distance raid.
