SMHI warns of snow in central Sweden

SMHI has issued a yellow weather warning for snowfall in large parts of southern and central Sweden during Thursday and Friday.
There is a risk of delays or canceled departures in public transport,” writes SMHI.

The warning area includes Halland and Jönköping counties in the south up to and including Värmland and Gävleborg in the north.

According to SMHI, there may be up to 20 centimeters of snow.

“It can be difficult to get around in traffic due to snow on the roads, traffic accidents or stationary vehicles,” writes SMHI.

The warning applies starting from 08:00 on Thursday morning and extends until 06:00 the following day. As the snowfall moves further east, and on Friday morning the warning also covers the southern Norrland coast.
