Ice hockey in the NHL Sebastian Aho became Carolina’s hero when he scored his team’s 4–3 winning goal into the Chicago Blackhawks’ net in overtime. The Finnish striker’s 14th hit of the season came in 60:59.
Carolina rallied behind two goals in the second period. Aho also served a pass by Seth Jarvis to the 1–2 narrowing, which was created with underpower.
He was responsible for the 2–2 equalization Jesperi Kotkaniemi, for whom the hit was the seventh of the season.

McDavid suspended for three games

It was already the second time that McDavid blacked out within the same week. Earlier, the superstar was unexpectedly elbowed by the Minnesota forward by Marcus Johansson in the face while skating away from his approach, but in that case he avoided punishment.
McDavid has only been suspended once in his career. The latest ban will reduce the Canadian forward’s salary by about $195,000.
Korpisalo saved Boston’s victory

San Jose’s Finnish striker Mikael Granlund served in the second period Will Smith’s completed the 2-2 equalizer. Granlund has collected 12+26=38 power points in the 47 matches he has played this season. He has been San Jose’s leading scorer this season.
Eeli Tolvanen had an assist on his team’s fifth hit as Seattle beat Buffalo 6–4 at home.
