US President Trump met with thousands of his supporters at the Capital One Arena sports complex, where he went after the oath ceremony in Congress. Trump, who moved the parade from outdoors to indoors due to the cold weather, started his duty quickly after his thank you speech.
What Do You Think About Trump’s New Executive Orders?
HE SIGNED MANY DECISIONS
On his first day in office, US President Donald Trump signed numerous executive orders that invalidated the actions of former President Joe Biden’s administration in many areas, from domestic policy to foreign policy.
HE REACTED TO BIDEN
Trump, who also reacted to Biden forgiving his own family members in his last hours, said that he would criticize more on this issue.
AMNESTY FOR CONGRESS RAID DEFENDANTS
Keeping the promise he made during the election campaigns, Trump issued an amnesty decree for approximately 1600 people who are still on trial or have been sentenced for involvement in the January 6 Congress raid.
Trump said “these are hostages” for the people accused of the January 6 events and said, “Frankly, we hope they come out as of tonight, and they expect this too.” he said.
HE WAS SENTENCED TO 22 YEARS IN PRISON
Among the prisoners pardoned by Trump is Enrique Tarrio, the leader of the Proud Boys group, who was sentenced to 22 years in prison. Tarrio, 42, was convicted of seditious conspiracy and other crimes and sentenced to 22 years in prison for his role in the Congress raid. Tarrio was recorded as the person who received the longest prison sentence in the January 6 raid cases.
EMPHASIS ON UKRAINE AND ISRAEL POLICIES
In one part of his speech, Trump also criticized the Biden administration’s Ukraine and Israel policies and claimed that if he had been president, the Ukraine war and the October 7, 2023 attacks would never have happened.
