Donald Trump officially became the 47th president of the USA by taking the oath of office at the ceremony in Congress. The moments when Trump, who returned to office after 4 years, did not put his hand on the Bible during the oath ceremony drew attention. Trump used former president Abraham Lincoln’s Bible while taking the presidential oath.
IT WAS ATTENTION THAT HE DID NOT TREACH THE BIBLE!
Trump also had his own personal Bible with him during the oath. He also used this Bible, a gift from his mother, at his swearing-in ceremony in 2017.
It was noted that Trump did not touch the Bible while taking the presidential oath.
According to the Constitution, there is no requirement for presidents to use a religious text or any other text when taking the oath; but nearly all presidents have used a Bible at their inauguration. Most incoming presidents have chosen the family Bible or a Bible used by a former president. A few presidents took the oath without using a Bible.
