Gerard Butler names action hits that he can never switch

For a few days now, Gerard Butler has been back in the cinema as the tough cop Big Nick in Criminal Squad 2. At the start of the action sequel, the star recently gave an interview in which he answered the question about a very specific cult film.

Gerard Butler can’t switch off while watching the Bruce Willis classic

In an interview with Cinema Blend, Butler was asked about his so-called “drop the remote” film. These are strips where you… on television always stays until the endif you catch them zapping. The actor was specifically asked to choose an action film of this type and answered like this:

An action film that has this effect on me? Oh my God. Action movie… I mean, dare I say it: Die Hard. Die Hard did that. That was a classic.

Gerard Butler also lists his own action films as must-see TV programs

The action star not only named Die Hard with Bruce Willis as a big TV favorite, but also jokingly named his entire genre filmography:

Or one of my others, of which there are 6,000. (Laughs)

Fans will agree with Butler that he already has some (modern) action classics in its luggage has extremely high rewatch value. This should include films like 300, Olympus Has Fallen or the first Criminal Squad.

You can now watch the Criminal Squad sequel in the cinema. In it, Donnie (O’Shea Jackson Jr.) has fled to Europe as the head of the gang of thieves from the previous film. Here he wants to pull off his next dangerous coup at the World Diamond Center in Nice. Detective Nicholas “Big Nick” O’Brien (Gerard Butler) is still on his trail and quickly tracks down Donnie. Since he has now lost everything in Los Angeles, he wants to become part of its new group of burglars.
