Tax, Borraccino (Collextion Group): “It is essential to train companies for sound credit management”

Tax Borraccino Collextion Group It is essential to train companies

(Finance) – “We welcome the announcement of the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, Maurizio Leo, on the imminent conclusion of the collection reform by the Mef, a decisive step to improve the relationship between tax authorities and taxpayers. We hope that the The Consolidated Law on which Parliament will start the discussion represents a solid starting point for a fairer and more efficient system. The experience gained in recent years in the credit sector has convinced us of the need to adequate legislative instruments that reward the goodwill of the counterparty, overcoming the dynamic of conflict with the debtor by promoting a context of mutual benefit”. This is what he stated Antonio Borraccino, lawyer, founder of the Collextion Groupleader in the Italian market for credits to the public administration, regarding the tax collection reform.

“In this sense, in our opinion,” he continued Borraccino – it would be necessary to intervene on two aspects capable of generating a significant impact for tax purposes. On the one hand, the obligation for medium and large companies to manage expired credit through specialized entities should be regulated, considering that, in a more general sense, late payments represent a real plague that drains liquidity from companies and leads to lower revenue . This obligation, however, should be extended not only to companies, but to all entities carrying out business activities, including cooperatives, with an annual turnover exceeding 25 million euros. It is essential to train companies for sound credit management also in order to combat the abuse of rights and define the scope of non-existent and non-due credits. At the same time, the process of divestment/transfer of tax credits should also be accelerated to give oxygen to the coffers of local authorities, with particular reference to those that are in rebalancing or in difficulty. The transfer of credits would also allow public administrations to breathe, improving their ability to intervene in the territory”.
