The former councilor understands that there are concerns about air quality, but she believes that it affects your credibility if you set unattainable goals. “How do you, as a city, want to ensure that only electric vehicles will be driven in the future, if you simply do not have any subsidy options to encourage that,” says Van den Bergh in the podcast “I think the weakness of the memorandum is that there are measures that are either not enforceable, or not feasible, because it must be regulated at national or even international level.”
