The police have been alerted to Skärholmen in southern Stockholm due to some kind of explosion, the police write on their website.
– We have established damage in the form of broken windows, says police spokesperson Mats Eriksson.
The alarm about the explosion came in at half past eight on Monday evening.
– What we know is that there was an explosion in Skärholmen, not too far from an apartment building, says police spokesperson Mats Eriksson.
According to initial information from the police, no one was injured in connection with the explosion. However, material damage has occurred.
– We have found damage in the form of broken windows, says Mats Eriksson.
No one arrested
The police are on the scene with a large resource, and the national bomb disposal has been called to the scene.
No one has been arrested.
– We are looking for perpetrators, and we do that by talking to witnesses and residents, says Mats Eriksson.
As a result of the incident, the subway does not stop at Vårberg and Skärholmen stations. There is still no forecast for when the stations can be operated again.
A preliminary investigation into public-dangerous devastation has been launched.
