(Finance) – The pace accelerates more than expected industrial production in the United States in the month of December 2024. According to data published by the Federal Reserve, a positive change of 0.9% was recorded on a monthly basis, after the +0.2% of the previous month (data revised from a preliminary -0.1%), above the analysts’ expectations (+0.3%). On an annual basis there was a positive negative of 0.6% after the previous -0.6%.
There manufacturing production recorded an increase of 0.6% on the month, higher than the consensus (+0.2%), which compares with +0.4% in November (data revised from a preliminary +0.2%).
In the same period the ability to use relating to all industrial sectors it rose to 77.6%, higher than analysts’ estimates (77%), compared to 77% in the previous month.
