Open Fiber Montefredane connected activate the new ultra fast fiber optic

(Finance) – The digital revolution hits Montefredanewhere the new public ultra-broadband telecommunications network is already operational. Open Fiber has work on the new fiber optic infrastructure concluded that it reaches over 800 real estate units including homes, businesses, public offices and schoolsallowing you to access Internet connections with effective and cutting-edge performance. The intervention affected the areas expressly indicated in the tender awarded by Open Fiber.

The main partner operators of Open Fibre, together with Local Internet Service Providersare already marketing the services on the ultra-fast network built in Montefredane: interested users can check the coverage of their address on the site, contact one of the available operators and choose their preferred tariff plan to start browsing at very high speed. For any reports, you can always contact Open Fiber via the dedicated web page.

The ultra-fast network available today in Montefredane is created with FTTH technology (Fiber-to-the-home, the optical fiber extended up to the inside of buildings), the only solution capable of guaranteeing connection speeds over 1 Gigabit per second. Numerous public locations currently covered by the new infrastructure: the Municipal Library, the Town Hall, the Don Lorenzo Milani Comprehensive Institute, the former Albina nursery school, the Carabinieri barracks, the Alimata socio-cultural centre, the Don school complex Milani Arcella and the Arcella socio-cultural centre.

This is a strategic investment for the digitalisation of territories which does not burden the Municipality’s budget. The technological infrastructure, in fact, was financed with regional and state funds as part of the Ultra Broadband Plan (BUL) managed by Infratel Italia, a company of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, with the coordination of the Campania Region . The impact of laying the fiber was very low, thanks to innovative and sustainable excavation techniques which allowed Open Fiber to reuse existing infrastructure.

“The active sale of connectivity services is positive news for our communitybecause thanks to the intervention of Open Fiber many families, businesses and professionals can take advantage of ultra-fast optical fiber capable of guaranteeing cutting-edge performance for work and study, leisure and to improve business opportunities. Another step in the fundamental battle against the depopulation of small towns that we are involved in on a daily basis”, says the Mayor Ciro Aquino.

“The cabling project on Montefredane bears witness to this Open Fiber’s commitment to further reduce the digital divide in the area. An objective that we are achieving thanks to the strong synergy with the Campania Region which has allocated specific community funds to equip the internal areas with connectivity infrastructures. Today, in fact, ultra broadband networks are supporting many municipalities in Irpinia and its inhabitants in accessing advanced technological services such as telemedicine, e-learning and smart city applications, all crucial for the economic and social development of a population,” he explains Diego Picariello, field manager of the company led by CEO Giuseppe Gola.
