Reactions from far-right ministers in the Netanyahu government continue to the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. After Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu and Negev and Galilee Development Minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf resigned from the government due to the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich made a statement.
SCANDAL ‘OCCUPATION’ CALL
Calling on Israel to occupy the Gaza Strip and establish a military government, Smotrich said, “Because there is no other way to defeat Hamas.”

Accusing Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi of being weak in strategy, Smotrich said, “I will overthrow the government if it does not return to fighting in a way that will lead us to capture and rule the entire Gaza Strip. If I were the prime minister, I would say to the chief of staff: ‘This is my policy; “If you don’t implement this, go home,” he said. Smotrich emphasized that Israel should undertake the task of providing humanitarian aid in Gaza.
