Jan-Ove Waldner and Truls Möregårdh make up in a completely new sport

One is Sweden’s best table tennis player right now.
The other is one of the sport’s greatest giants of all time.
Here, Truls Möregårdh and Jan-Ove Waldner meet in a completely new sport.

After the great success during the 2024 Summer Olympics, counting Truls Möregårdh as Sweden’s best table tennis player. He wrote Swedish sports history in Paris by reaching the Olympic final both individually and in team play.

Truls and JO

It ended in double Olympic silver for Eslövsonen and he created total ping pong fever in Sweden for a couple of summer weeks. Möregårdh has also won EC gold and WC silver during his career, only 22 years old he is predicted to have a brilliant future.

Although he still has a bit to go to the giant Jan-Ove Waldner who really put Swedish table tennis on the international map. JO won an Olympic gold, six World Cup gold, eleven European Championship gold and the World Cup twice during his successful career.

Brand new sport

Today, the legend is 59 years old and even though there is a 37-year difference between the ping-pong players, they have made up with each other. In a brand new sport too.

Truls Möregårdh and Jan-Ove Waldner put on a great show when they meet in padel ping pong, see the video below. You can probably imagine what it is about, i.e. table tennis with walls that you can use.
