Future President of the United States Donald Trump says he wants to travel to China soon after taking office. An American newspaper tells about it The Wall Street Journal referring to sources with knowledge of the matter.
According to the newspaper, Trump has expressed his interest in traveling to China within 100 days of taking office.
The purpose of the trip is to deepen Trump’s relationship with the Chinese president to Xi Jinping. Trump has threatened China with even steeper import duties. In his first term as president, Trump started a trade war against China.
Trump will take office on Monday, January 20.
