Miyazaki Expected for Bloodborne Remaster

A former PlayStation executive has said that the Bloodborne remaster project will happen when Hidetaka Miyazaki’s busy schedule ends.

Bloodborne remains one of the most requested games for remasters by fans for years. However, according to former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida, the reason why this project did not materialize was the busy schedule of FromSoftware’s president Hidetaka Miyazaki. Yoshida stated that Miyazaki loved the game, but did not have time to undertake the project at the moment and did not want someone else to do the job. PlayStation also respected this decision and decided to keep the project on hold.

Why Is Bloodborne Remaster On Hold?

Although Bloodborne is among FromSoftware’s most popular productions, the need for a remaster is felt due to its technical limitations. However, according to Yoshida, Miyazaki does not want to hand over this project to someone else. The famous director is thought to be busy with busy projects such as the success of Elden Ring and the revival of the Armored Core series. It is also stated that Miyazaki has a new RPG project he is currently working on.

Yoshida stated that Bloodborne fans still continue to ask about this project and there is great interest. However, PlayStation’s wait for Miyazaki’s leadership means a process that requires patience for fans of the game. Yoshida said, “Miyazaki loves this project, but he doesn’t have time to do it right now. He summarized this situation by saying, “He doesn’t want it to fall into someone else’s hands.”

Fans are waiting for an official remaster of Bloodborne to be released not only on PlayStation but also on the PC platform. However, no official statement has been made on this matter yet. Despite this, the game’s fan base constantly expresses its demand for a remaster on social media and platforms.

Although uncertainties continue due to Miyazaki’s busy schedule, there are still hopes that Bloodborne will be revived one day. For both PlayStation and FromSoftware, the potential impact of this project on fans cannot be ignored. For now, we have to wait for this iconic game to be reborn on modern platforms.
