Truck on fire at Karlstad airport
A truck with two trailers is on fire at Karlstad airport. According to the emergency services, it is loaded with fuel.
– We are there and have started extinguishing. We don’t know if anyone was in the truck when it caught fire, says Johan Magnusson, team leader at SOS alarm.
The alarm came in just before four o’clock on Friday afternoon and ten units from the rescue service have been called to the scene.
Around 600 liters of fuel distributed in two tanks have burned. A smaller van was also damaged in the fire.
At 4:43 p.m., the emergency services state that the fire is now out.

The Christian Democrats have today decided to draw up a new letter, which will enable future government cooperation with the Sweden Democrats.
“The writing does not mean that we are saying in advance that we will sit in government with SD. What is being said is that we have no negotiation restrictions.” says a source.
The decision was taken by KD’s party council. Earlier last autumn, KD’s party board made a proposal to delete a sentence that prevents government cooperation with the Left Party and the Sweden Democrats. Aftonbladet reported on this here.
The deleted sentence reads: “Actively forming a majority government together with parties such as SD and V and other parties whose values are far from Christian democratic ideology should, on the other hand, be avoided.”

US HD hints at Tiktok decision today
It looks like there will be an announcement about the US’s imminent Tiktok ban today, reports the news agency Bloomberg.
The Supreme Court in Washington writes that there will be a statement at 4 pm Swedish time. What it is about is not clear, but the court has previously said that the Tiktok issue is being dealt with quickly.
A deadline for China’s Bytedance to sell Tiktok in the US expires on Sunday. Otherwise, the service is to be banned, due to security concerns surrounding the platform’s ties to China’s dictatorial regime.
Both outgoing President Joe Biden and incoming President Donald Trump have signaled that they will not immediately implement the ban. On the other hand, Tiktok has said that the popular service may still be shut down.

The fashion company Eytys has been declared bankrupt, reports Break it.
Eytys sells clothes and shoes online and in its own stores and became known for its “chunky sneakers”.
The Stockholm district court decided on bankruptcy on January 16, the site writes.
“The reason for this is that the company lacks funds to settle its debts. The company is therefore deemed to be insolvent and this is deemed not to be temporary,” writes Eytys in the bankruptcy filing according to Breakit.

A man has been arrested after a young middle-aged woman was found dead in a forest in Gothenburg on Thursday.
The police now write on their website that the man is known to the victim and is about the same age. Relatives have been notified.

Reduced prices for petrol and diesel
Leading fuel chains are putting an end to a series of recent price hikes – in the wake of higher global oil prices and a boost to the dollar – with cuts in petrol, diesel and biodiesel prices.
The target price for a liter of 95-octane petrol is reduced by 20 öre to SEK 17.09 per liter at manned stations. The price of diesel is reduced by 10 öre to SEK 18.89 per litre.
For biodiesel (HVO100) there will also be a reduction of 10 öre, which gives a liter price of SEK 22.13.
The prices of vehicle gas and ethanol are left unchanged.
Fuel prices are generally lower at unmanned stations and may vary locally.

33 dead after drinking poisonous liquor
The number of deaths in Istanbul linked to consumption of poisoned liquor has risen to 33, reports the state-run Turkish news agency Anatolia.
Earlier this week, 23 deceased people were reported.
The cause is believed to be alcohol mixed with methanol – an alcohol that is extremely toxic and dangerous compared to the ethanol normally found in spirits.
Four people have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the sale of the alcohol.

Students are stabbed at school – one is charged
In November last year, two students were stabbed at a school in Hallsberg. Now a 20-year-old man is charged at Örebro District Court with two cases of serious assault, the Public Prosecutor’s Office announces.
It was on November 7 last year that two students were stabbed outside at a school in central Hallsberg.
A then 19-year-old man was arrested three days later when he came to the police station on his own. He has admitted during the preliminary investigation that he was at the scene but denies any crime.
Prosecutor Robin Andersson says in a press release that the incident was caused by a conflict.
“It has not been an act of insanity, the people involved have known or known each other”.
