An exceptional year for Malagasy cocoa: although it supplies less than 1% of the world market, it nevertheless performed well, both in volumes and in purchase price. This is the annual report drawn up this January 16, on the occasion of the first meeting in 2025 of the National Cocoa Council: 15,000 tonnes exported in 2024 compared to 12,000 tonnes in 2023, on a market where the price of the bean is at the highest. Results which benefit the entire sector and which could, from this year, make it the leading export sector in value, ahead of its big sister vanilla. Details.
