Naomi Osaka suspended the Australian Open tennis tournament Sports

Abdominal muscle injury forced Naomi Osaka to stop for the second time.

Naomi Osaka suspended his Australian Open third-round match against the Swiss Belinda Bencic against. Osaka, 27, is suffering from an abdominal muscle injury that also forced her to withdraw from the final of the Auckland Classic less than two weeks ago.

Four-time grand slam singles winner Osaka was in pain at the end of the first set. Medical staff visited Osaka, but she stopped the match at 7–6 (7–3). Osaka has won the Australian Open tennis tournament twice in 2019 and 2021.
