Emmanuel Macron is expected this Friday, January 17 in Beirut for an official visit during which he will congratulate the new Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on his election and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam after his appointment. According to the French presidency, France wants, through this trip, to “mark [son] unfailing commitment” in support of Lebanon, which is experiencing a “historic moment”.
