Teemu Pukki seems to be moving from Minnesota to Helsinki.
The reporter who follows the MLS Tom Bogert says in X that the Finnish men’s national football team’s all-time top scorer Teemu Pukki would be moving from Minnesota United to the ranks of HJK.
Puk’s contract with Minnesota would have continued until next summer, but according to Bogert, Minnesota agrees to terminate the contract early. HJK pays “a little”, but Minnesota buys out the contract.
Pukki, 34, moved to Minnesota in the summer of 2023. He has not been able to shine like he used to lately.
Pukki represented HJK in the 2010–11 seasons. After that, he played in Schalke, Celtic, Bröndby and the peak years of his career in Norwich before moving to Minnesota.
Pukki has scored 42 goals in Huuhkaj.
In recent months, there has been talk of both HJK and KTP’s interest in Pukki.
Bogert’s publication was reported first Evening newspaper.
