The motion of censure filed by La France insoumise (LFI), and supported by ecologists and communists, against the government of François Bayrou did not collect on Thursday January 16 the sufficient number of votes in the National Assembly for its adoption, with 131 votes, while a majority of 288 was necessary. The Socialist Party (PS) and the National Rally (RN) had announced that their elected representatives would not vote for it.
