To celebrate the jubilee of the Queen of England, Barbie inaugurates a new doll, bearing the image of Elizabeth II. Respecting the Queen’s legendary pageantry, children will be able to play with a figurine far from the glamorous cliché of the famous Barbie, but just as majestic!
A royal doll
For 70 years that she reigns over her 130 million subjects around the world, Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations look grand. To celebrate this exceptional woman, who has the longest reign in British history, the Mattel brand, through its mythical Barbiealso wanted to pay tribute to him by inaugurating a doll in his likeness. Without falling into caricature, the royal Barbie perfectly resembles her model, from the time of her younger years… certainly! The tiara is indeed like the one she wore on her wedding day, and the ribbons of her scarf owe nothing to chance, since the pale blue was given to her by her grandfather George V and the rose by her father, George VI.
Barbie, a family affair
The medallions also recall the orders of the royal family, emphasizing the Queen’s belonging to a dynasty dear to the hearts of the English. Between gigantic parades, exceptional concerts at Buckingham Palace, lighting of beacons in all the capitals of the Commonwealth, the latter will benefit from an exceptional bridge, from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June 2022, to attend the festivities organized for the jubilee. And if the famous “Queen Mother” serves as a distinguished and honorary member in every English family, among the Barbies, does she risk dethroning all the other princesses? Enthusiasm to be seen very soon, during the sale of Barbie-Elizabeth II, available from May on Amazon.
