There are two major pieces of information to remember regarding Fatal Fury City of the Wolves today. The first is that SNK’s next fighting game will be part of the games that will participate in EVO 2025 which will be held in Las Vegas August 1-3 in Las Vegas. It’s not really a surprise when we know that SNK has always had a special place in this type of competition that the Japanese publisher has helped to make known around the world. The title will participate in the fray among other juggernauts of the genre like Street Fighter6, Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, Guilty Gear Strive, but also Marvel vs Capcom 2. Enough to prepare for some crazy matches.

Fatal Fury City of the Wolves

The other good news is that Fatal Fury City of the Wolves will have physical versions upon its release on April 24, 2025 and it is the publisher Maximum Entertainment which has decided to take charge of the marketing of the boxes on PS5, PS4 and Xbox Series. We also learn that the basic roster will include 17 fighters at its launch, but that the Season Pass will allow you to get your hands on 5 additional characters, including Ken and Chun-Li from Street Fighter, part of the cross-over established between Capcom and SNK. Maximum Entertainment announces that all players who pre-order or purchase the physical edition upon release will also be able to enjoy the Terry costume DLC as a bonus. This will be a download code provided in the game box.

But that’s not all, a collector’s edition is also planned, including among other things a steelbook, an artbook, the OST of the game and the map of South Town. Here is the full detail:

  • A Steelbook containing the official soundtrack of the game (two discs).
  • A softcover art book of over 100 pages, showcasing the unique graphic style of the game and its characters.
  • A double-sided poster with the map of South Town on one side, and a diagram of the relationships between the characters, showing how their destinies intersect, on the other side.
  • 2 sheets of stickers of the logos of the franchise games.
  • A “NEOGEO Style” collector’s box housing all the contents.
  • And of course, physical play FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves – Special Edition (containing Season Pass 1 and Terry’s costume DLC).
