On Thursday, January 9th, a contestant from Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Günther Jauch’s patience is put to the test. With his relaxed and calm demeanor, he made the audience laugh with his answers. When he compared the popular quiz show to a popular Netflix show, Even Jauch was amazed.
Julius Croonen: WWM candidate and master of tomato cream sauce
Julius Croonen prevailed in the preliminary round and took his place in the hot seat. Jauch asked the usual questions about origins, studies and profession. When Julius said that he makes cooking videos and his Most popular video a recipe for a tomato cream sauce the moderator became suspicious.
What made the audience laugh though was the indifference of Julius. When Jauch asked him about the secret to a good tomato cream sauce, Julius replied “Nothing actually“. The candidate also answered the question about the name of his channel on TikTok and Instagram without emotion “Julius Croonen, my name is simple”. Jauch noted that he did have one “relaxed impression” do what Julius laughed and said no.
In the series question, the candidate draws a comparison to Squid Game
The game began and at 8000 euros the question was asked, which first episode of a series is called “Red Light, Green Light”.. Series fans of course know that this is the Netflix series Squid Game and Julius was also sure and confidently entered the answer.
When the series was received, Jauch and Julius clashed again. While the WWM candidate found the Netflix series “cool”, Jauch rated it as “incredibly cruel”. Julius was very surprised and said: “Why? Well, it’s a terrible concept, but I thought the series itself was very good” Jauch agreed that he found it exciting, but that such a concept was too unfamiliar for him. Julius answered dryly:
Well, you also host a television show that’s about money.
The whole audience burst out laughing and Jauch looked stunned. “Yes, but with me people don’t fall into boiling oil“the TV presenter justified himself. But Julius wasn’t finished yet and added: “That’s why I came here” The audience had to laugh again and Jauch was at his wits’ end. With his hand on his forehead he simply said: “Whether we get together again today?”.
Julius not only answered the question about Squid Game, but even made it to the 64,000 euro question. By a wrong answer However, it fell back to 16,000 euros.
