In Path of Exile 2 there is no shortage of loot in the endgame, as a new video proves. The user even had to get help to collect it.
Who is it about? Reddit user LeavingTheGame had really good luck with a map in Path of Exile 2. According to his own information, his map contained 15 breaches. The league mechanic “Breach” is currently considered meta in the community because it grants an extremely large amount of loot. Same in this case.
In a video on Reddit, the player shows his haul. A whole screen full of loot as far as the eye can see. However, the amount of loot also presented him with a big challenge.
You can see the video in the following Reddit post:
Hard to do alone
What was the challenge? The gamer is playing Path of Exile 2 on the PS5, which means he couldn’t use a loot filter at the time of the map.
Loot filters are a useful tool in PoE2 that hides unimportant loot and highlights valuable loot. They will only be available on consoles with the next update. It is currently only available on the PC or, indirectly, on the console.
The massive number of objects not only blocks the player’s view, but also prevents him from getting an overview. Without a loot filter, he faces an impossible, mammoth task.
As he explains on Reddit, he had to get help from players with loot filters. Otherwise he would probably have been busy doing it for hours alone. Even with the help of some gamers with loot filters, collecting and sorting took more than 30 minutes.
The collected items also have to be identified, this NPC does this for free:
How does the community react to the loot? The community thinks it’s time for loot filters to finally come to consoles. This won’t happen until the next patch, but that should come into play this week. Some players can’t believe their eyes because they’ve never seen so much loot before.
This is also the case for Ancient-Educator-186, he writes on Reddit: “You play a completely different game than I do. Even without a filter, I don’t get anything close to what’s on this screen.”
User secondcircle4903 criticizes the developers on Reddit: “Adding a loot filter is really just a stopgap solution to this problem, they completely missed out on simply ‘playing’ without a loot filter.”
LegalizeRanch88 is also currently dissatisfied, he writes on Reddit: “And you can’t target any of the loot until you’ve killed every single monster… Looting and auto-targeting really sucks on consoles. Whenever I play with PC players, they have no problem hoovering up all the loot in the middle of battle. This is impossible on the PS5.”
The developers have now realized that without the loot filters as an aid in Path of Exile 2 it is no longer possible on the console. The best-known of these loot filters comes from a German developer who has made a name for himself in the community: German developer creates loot filter for Path of Exile 2 – NeverSink can do that
