Karlsson back
“We get most of the riders who missed the Tour de Ski or who have been sick. Frida Karlsson makes a comeback in the World Cup after a few weekends without competing. The same applies to Jonna Sundling, Emma Ribom and Calle Halfvarsson. Calle is back after his back problems. He wanted to compete in Falun last weekend, but we chose to give the rehabilitation another week, so now Calle is ready for the World Cup again,” says the national team manager Anders Byström in a press release.

10 kilometers in freestyle, a classic sprint and a 20 kilometer mass start will be decided in the French resort.
“Les Rousses had the competitions for the first time in the World Cup two years ago and then it was a wonderful experience in terms of crowd, atmosphere and courses. Now they have developed the concept further and despite warm temperatures, they promise good conditions in both sprint and distance,” says Anders Byström.
Also Elina Rönnlund is back in the national team squad after repeated injury problems.
“She has shown in several freestyle races that she is high class. It’s really fun to be able to give her the chance now,” says Byström.
