The Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed, on Sunday January 12, the kidnapping of an Austrian national in Agadez, in northern Niger. Eva Gretzmacher was taken away on Saturday evening by unidentified armed men. His kidnapping has not been claimed at this stage. Research was underway on Sunday to try to find the trace of this woman who has lived in Agadez for almost three decades.
