Against all odds these are the jeans well see everywhere

The skinny is far from coming back to the forefront as some had predicted… In 2025, it is in another pair of jeans that we will have to invest. Many celebrities have already made it a key piece of their wardrobe.

An iconic piece of the 2010s, we thought it would be back in this decade… the trend forecasters will have lied. Over the past year, Katie Holmes had worn it with style during her public outings. Indeed, during the week following Black Friday, skinny jeans recorded a 27% decline in sales compared to the same period last year, while this other model saw its sales increase by 114%. Ultra popular in the 2000s, these famous jeans have since conquered many women, going from “trend” status to that of a wardrobe essential. Personalities admired for their style, like Brigitte Macron and Kate Middleton, regularly wear iconic models signed Levi’s or even Lee. The latter’s attraction to bootcut jeans is not new: the Princess of Wales has proudly worn them since her university years! If it has the perfect cut to be worn with a pair of boots – hence its name – Kate Middleton happily wears it with heeled sandals, espadrilles or sneakers.

Certainly, it is common to associate it with the fairer sex in our imagination, but men can also adopt it. Over the years, a few daring people have tried it, with varying degrees of success.

Remember, when he arrived at Clairefontaine last May, footballer Jules Koundé gave us an ultra stylish look with bootcut jeans (or bell bottoms) and heeled ankle boots; a fashion proposition which, however, did not achieve unanimous approval. But whatever, in fashion (and not only in May), everyone is free to do what they please!
