He is one of our great Swedish sportsmen in history and above all the strongest. The muscle builder Magnus Samuelsson wrote Swedish sports history in the 90s when he was crowned the world’s strongest man.
Samuelsson’s career
Samuelsson was feared in the sport of strongman and with the nickname “The Giant Swede” he conquered the whole world. The huge powerhouse won the title “Sweden’s strongest man” as many as nine times during his career, and in 1998 came the big moment.

When he became the first Swede in history to win the prestigious “World’s Strongest Man” competition. But in addition to being a devil at lifting heavy, Magnus Samuelsson was also extremely skilled at arm wrestling and he shows that to this day.
Now breaking arm again
Despite recently turning 55, the raw strength is still in his arms and in a YouTube video, see below, he shows off his total superiority when it comes to breaking arms.
– Arm wrestling is very much about controlling the wrist. I have never met anyone with whom I have had a problem, says Magnus in the video.

Then a poor gym guy gets to step up face to face with the world’s strongest man in 1998 in arm wrestling. Then Samuelsson offers a complete playhouse.
– From here it’s all over for you, haha. Here it’s impossible!, he says in the video and also gives invaluable tips on how to get really good at arm wrestling.
– It felt like a completely immovable obstacle. I couldn’t even move anything, it was like trying to push against a wall. But it was really fun, says the opponent.
The video, see it below, which came in 2024 already has 100,000 views on Youtube and many Swedes absolutely love to see the crap from Tidersrum again.
