Comeback in Frölunda today – played with Rögle the day before yesterday • Expert: “A lot to give” • Today’s matches in the SHL
Last Thursday he played in Rögle – today in Frölunda. Jacob Peterson himself is looking forward to his return to the Gothenburg team.
– It feels good to be here now and start right away, he says on TV4 before the match against Örebro.
He broke the contract with Rögle where he played during the season, after spending three seasons in the NHL and AHL.
– He had quite a lot of pressure on him when he came to Rögle and has not really lived up to it. You probably have the right expectations now that he’s changing teams. He has a way to go but he is a skilled player who has a lot to give Frölunda going forward here, says TV4’s expert Joel Lundqvist.
Already playing today
On Friday, it was clear that Peterson is returning to Frölunda, where he played five seasons ago. He is on the ice tonight, in the meeting against Örebro, and this is what he himself says before his return:
– It has gone quickly, but it feels good to be here now and get started right away. There is no time to waste, says Jacob Peterson.
Now he hopes to find his strength back.
– I want to start my game, be able to create offensively but also be relied on defensively.

Jacob Peterson: “Great fun to come back”
After five years in other clubs, it seems that Frölunda feels a bit like home for Peterson.
– There is much that is the same. It’s been five years, but there are many still around so it’s been great fun to come back, says Peterson.
Jacob Peterson has scored eight points in 32 games in Rögle this season.
