According to Biden, the new sanctions against Russian oil giants will increase the price of gasoline.
President of the United States Joe Biden says new sanctions on Russian oil giants may raise gas prices by three or four cents a gallon, but would have a significant impact on the Russian economy.
– Putin is now in serious condition, and I think it’s really important that he has no room for maneuver to continue his terrible actions, Biden told reporters at the White House on Friday local time.
Biden also described to reporters the decision by technology giant Meta to abandon third-party fact-checking in the United States.
– I think it’s shameful. Telling the truth matters, Biden said.
Biden added that he wanted to know what the decision was about.
– It is completely against everything that America stands for. We want to tell the truth.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre previously refused to comment on Meta’s decision.
