The 22-year-old has no stated major goals other than to play at a high level.
– I live very much in the present and take it week by week. It will be fun to start playing on tour again. The year starts with a big tournament in Singapore, so it should be fun, he says to Radiosporten about the upcoming Grand Smash tournament that will be played from January 30th to February 9th.
Malmö resident Möregårdh has Eslöv as his base with his brother Malte as coach. The world tour is the basis, but there are also other international assignments.
– Then there is a Champions League match with my new club in Germany so it will be a bit of an exciting task but I haven’t looked very far ahead, says Möregårdh who this season is contracted by Saarbrücken where he gets to play with the Slovenian ace Darko Jorgic .
Lost the team match against Söderhamn
On Thursday evening, Möregårdhs Eslöv lost against Söderhamn with 4-3 in the Pingi League at home in Blomsterbergshallen. It was the first series match that Möregårdh was involved in and lost this season.
He won his two singles but fell in a pair with Martin Friis against Viktor Brodd/Anders Eriksson with 8-11, 6-11 in the decisive doubles.
– I’ve lost a lot of team games and it’s sad to lose, but it’s a regular season game and they did very well. When it’s double, they are favourites, says Möregårdh.
