Several shortcomings have recently been revealed regarding Henrik Landerholm’s personal security management. Now the Social Democrats want an explanation from Ulf Kristersson, and therefore want to call him to the defense committee.
According to Hultqvist, a central issue is that the government’s own security department must have assessed the deficiencies as serious.
– What measures has the Prime Minister taken and what reasoning has he used in this matter due to what has become public, Peter Hultqvist mentions as an example of things he wants to get answers to.
Could be the first time
Hultqvist will address the issue of summoning the prime minister at the next meeting of the defense committee on Thursday next week.
If it becomes reality, it would be the first time during this mandate that Kristersson is called to a committee.
– It is rare that the prime minister is called to this type of meeting, I have not been part of it before in the defense committee. But at some point it has to be the first and there is a background as to why, says Peter Hultqvist, who does not explain how the other opposition parties feel about calling Kristersson.
– We usually try to agree in the committee, but this is a proposal I make, so we’ll see what the others say.
