The Minister of Social Affairs after the act of insanity – must strengthen psychiatry
On Friday, Social Affairs Minister Jakob Forssmed held a press conference on the national strategy for mental health and suicide prevention. There he was asked how society should better catch mentally ill people who risk becoming a danger to others. This with a background in the recent so-called “act of madness” where two women were killed.

In at least one of the cases, the suspect had had contact with psychiatry in the past. Forssmed was asked if the deed could have been avoided.
