Most people probably know George RRMartin as the author of the Game of Thrones books. But even before that he published many short stories. A fantasy short story is now being made into a film. There is a well-known director and two actors who are known from action films.
What film is it about? With In The Lost Lands, a new fantasy film has been announced that you don’t have to wait long for. The film is scheduled to start in German cinemas on March 6, 2025. The director is no stranger to this.
Paul WS Anderson directs the film, which is based on a short story by George RR Martin that was published in 1982. Paul WS Anderson is best known from poorly rated films such as the Resident Evil film series or the Monster Hunter film from 2020, which fans didn’t like.
The two main actors are not unknown either. Former wrestler Dave Bautista is best known as Drax from Guardians of the Galaxy. Milla Jovovich also knows her way around action films. She starred in her husband’s Resident Evil films.

What is In The Lost Lands about? A queen wants nothing more than to be happy with love. She sends a gifted witch, played by Milla Jovovich, on a journey to the Lost Lands to find magic that will allow her to transform into a werewolf. She is accompanied by a hunter, played by Dave Bautista.
In the trailer you can already see that the film will probably offer a lot of action. You see fights with weapons, but also magic. The background story could also be exciting. At times it seems like a post-apocalypse that takes place in the future rather than in the Middle Ages.
What can you expect from In The Lost Lands? You should always be careful with Paul WS Anderson. You shouldn’t expect an excellent book adaptation like the first seasons of Game of Thrones here. With Resident Evil and Monster Hunter we already saw that Anderson brings his own style to the screen rather than relying heavily on the original.
It must also be said about Milla Jovovich that she is not exactly known for her good acting. Dave Bautista showed in Guardians of The Galaxy or Blade Runner 2049 that he can definitely act. Nevertheless, he also appeared in many mediocre films.

She did that for years, but one of her dreams was never fulfilled: she starred in six Resident Evil films, but Milla Jovovich’s unfulfilled dream was to see Alice in Capcom games
