As scooper Jeff Sneider reports, those in charge at Lucasfilm have decided to recast the role. Rory McCann will play Baylan Skoll in Ahsoka Season 2. The Scottish actor is known from Game of Thrones, where he is Bloodhound aka Sandor Clegane was to be seen.
Shortly after Sneider revealed the scoop in the new issue of his newsletter, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the casting, citing its own sources. So we can assume: Baylan Skoll will remain a central figure in the second season of Ahsoka, which fits with the end of the previous season.
When does Ahsoka Season 2 start on Disney+?
There is currently no start date for the second season of Ahsoka. According to the Hollywood Reporter, it is also not yet known when filming will begin. Recently, there were many indications that Rosario Dawson and Co. would return to the camera this year, so Ahsoka 2026 on Disney+ could start.
This makes Ahsoka the only live-action Star Wars series that awaits us in the next few years. Skeleton Crew is currently running its final episodes. The second and final season of Andor starts in April. Aside from Ahsoka, Lucasfilm has not yet announced a specific schedule for the live-action series on Disney+.
