The impressive outbreaks of fires that have ravaged the Los Angeles region since January 7 have forced the suspension of several filmings and events.
Since January 7, major fires have devastated the region of Los Angeles. Like the rest of the inhabitants, many stars were forced to evacuate or lost their homes, like Billy Cristal or Paris Hilton. As a result, the American film and television industry was shut down.
Several series shoots have been put on hold until the fire stops, the organization responsible for managing Los Angeles shoots said in a press release. Filming permits have been withdrawn in the affected areas (Altadena, La Crescenta, Pasadena, etc.), but also in those whose air quality is degraded. This is the case of season 2 of the series from the video game franchise Fallout on Prime Video, discontinued until January 10.
Other series are also making it fresh. The filming of the series Hacks, Loot, Suits: LA And Happy’s Place are at a standstill at Universal, just like those of NCIS, NCIS : Origins, The Neighborhood Or After Midnight at CBS. For its part, CBS has paused filming of Doctor Odyssey And Grey’s Anatomy. On the Warner Bros side, these are Abbott Elementary, All-American And The Pitt which are stopped during the fire.
Previews have also been canceled, as have other traditional events at the start of the year in Hollywood. This is the case of the Critics Choice Awards (scheduled for January 12, the ceremony was postponed to January 26) or the announcement of the Oscar nominations. Initially scheduled for January 17, it will finally take place two days later, on January 19.
