The second open beta test of Monster Hunter Wilds will meet players on PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms between February 6-9 and February 13-16.

Monster Hunter Wildsannounced the second open beta process for its new game developed by Capcom and will be released on February 28, 2025. This beta test will be open to all players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam platforms, without requiring a PlayStation Plus subscription. The second beta stands out with a new hunter experience and cross-platform support, in addition to the missions offered in the first test.

Monster Hunter Wilds Second Beta Details

Beta testing will take place in two separate periods: February 6-9 and February 13-16. Both periods will start at 05.00 in the morning Türkiye time and end at the same time. Players will be able to complete missions with their friends with cross-play feature on PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms.

The second beta introduces players to a new hunting mission, Gypceros. Gypceros was introduced in 2007’s Monster Hunter Freedom Unite as a giant bird-dinosaur hybrid, but was not featured in Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise. In addition, missions with creatures such as the armored frog Chatacabra and the bear-like Doshaguma, known from the first beta, are also returning. Players will also be able to re-experience character and Palico (cat friend) creation options.

Capcom announced that additional missions will be offered in the second phase of beta testing, but these contents will be announced later. While story progressions and items earned from hunts during the beta will not carry over to the full version, character creation data will be preserved.

Some of the bugs detected in the first beta may also be included in the second test, but Capcom stated that these problems will be fixed in the full version. Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on February 28 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC platforms. The second beta seems to increase fans’ expectations even more with the game’s cross-platform support and innovative hunting mechanics.
