Price, release and specs – everything we know about AMD’s new graphics card

AMD presented its next graphics card at CES 2025. MeinMMO presents you with all the details we already know about the new RX 9070 XT.

The most important thing in brief:

  • AMD introduced the RX 9070 XT and the RX 9070 and also mentioned the RX 9060 in passing.
  • With the latest generation, AMD is using a new naming scheme that is based on Nvidia’s RTX series.
  • AMD primarily wants to serve the middle class; a high-end graphics card has not yet been introduced. The RX 9070 XT is said to be based on the RX 7900 XT.
  • In addition to the graphics cards, an improvement in FSR was also shown. The latest version, FSR 4.0, is said to be supported by the RX 9070 XT and the RX 9070.
  • Technical data is mainly known from leaks, AMD itself is holding back.

    • AMD presented its next generation of graphics cards (RDNA4) at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. At least briefly, because AMD hasn’t revealed much yet or left it in the dark. A lot of information comes from third-party manufacturers (such as ASUS) or from leaks.

    RX 9070 XT: release and price

    When will the RX 9070 XT be released? According to AMD, the RX 9070 XT and the RX 9070 will be released in the 1st quarter of 2025. These are roughly the months January, February and March 2025. AMD has not given a specific date.

    How much will the RX 9070 XT cost? AMD has not yet announced any prices. According to AMD, the graphics card should be in the range of the RX 7900 XT and the RX 7800 XT. The price is between 549 and 849 euros. As a rule, new graphics cards are a little more expensive.

    RX 9070 XT: Pre-order and buy

    Where can you get them? RX 9070XT buy? In Germany you can order graphics cards from AMD either directly through your own online shop or from retailers such as Mindfactory, Caseking or Alternate.

    That is likely to be the case again this year. It is regularly reported that AMD maintains particularly good relationships with Mindfactory, because in the past you have been able to get sold-out AMD CPUs there.

    RX 9070 XT: First benchmarks

    Are there official benchmarks? There are no official benchmarks from AMD yet. AMD only made it clear at its press conference that the graphics card should be based between the RX 7900 XT and the RX 7800 XT.

    What benchmarks are there so far? There are already leaked benchmarks, which the magazine Videocardz.com refers to. According to this data, the RX 9070 XT can easily reach the level of an RX 7900 XT and even narrowly beat an RTX 4080 Super. It can’t beat AMD’s currently fastest graphics card, the RX 7900 XTX.

    However, please note that this is leaked data and may not be accurate. You should therefore enjoy these with caution.
