Ingemar Stenmark is one of history’s best downhill skiers.
Now he has taught his daughter Iza Stenmark in the best way.
Everyone is now saying the same thing about the new pictures of father and daughter on the ski slope.
He is one of Swedish sports’ foremost and most beloved heroes of all time. Ingemar Stenmark dominated the slalom hill for many years and rewrote Swedish sports history several times.
Stony ground on the hill
The son of Tärnaby became “Stenis” with the entire Swedish people and salvaged two Olympic golds, five World Cup golds and 86 World Cup victories during his fantastic career. Today, he is 68 years old and lives a retired life, but he has not given up skiing for that.

The legend still gets out on the slopes and has also taught his 16-year-old daughter Iza Stenmark in the best way. Ingemar has posted a video on Instagram, see it below, where he is skiing with his youngest child.
“Christmas skiing together with my daughter,” he writes to the video on social media.

There you can see how the daughter rides exactly like her father, and it amazes most Swedes. The video has received over 36,000 likes on Instagram and many comments from several Swedes saying the same thing.
“Your daughter rides as well as you, Ingemar,” writes one user.
“Same soft style as his father. Lovely to see!, writes another.
“The daughter has inherited your fine riding style, beautiful,” writes a third.

Ingemar Stenmark has also revealed that the daughter has not followed in her father’s footsteps, but mostly rides because it is fun.
– She doesn’t compete, it’s just free skating. It’s great fun. If we ride together, it looks like we ride exactly the same. I’ve taught her a little bit, but mostly she’s been watching me how I’m doing. After all, skiing is also a family thing. You become tighter as a family thanks to skiing, I think. We go with the whole family. Tarja also skis really well, but she doesn’t think so, he says in an interview with the website Åka Skidor.
– We go to slightly different places. If we go on a sports holiday, we usually go to the Alps with others, i.e. a group. So they usually get to decide where we go. Otherwise in Sweden it has been mostly in Ramundberget and Tärna.
