PROVINCE OF UTRECHT – Today, April 20, has been declared National Day of the Bicycle Helmet for the first time. Today, the aim is to draw as much attention as possible to the importance of bicycle helmets, because this can prevent many risks in the event of accidents. Although the number of road deaths in the Netherlands ended last year, the province of Utrecht shows an increase. In 2020 there were 47 fatal accidents in our region and many victims were cyclists.
