Someone has tried to break into Dalstorp’s treatment plant in Tranemo. The attempted burglary was discovered on Tuesday, writes Ulricehamns Tidning.

The incident has been reported to the police by the municipality as attempted vandalism.

– After such a Christmas as we had with a break-in at the water source, I want us to be careful, says Jan Sandberg, head of water and sewage in the municipality, to the newspaper.

He sees no connection to the previous break-in at the water source.

On December 23, a broken lock to a raw water well was discovered. This led to suspicions that the water was undrinkable and restrictions on using the water were introduced. They were lifted on 30 December.

Bollebygd municipality has also had restrictions on drinking water since it was discovered on December 17 that spaces for a water reservoir in Bollebygd were not locked. Those restrictions were lifted at the beginning of the year.
