Therefore, the O’boy was out again in 2024

During the autumn and winter of 2024, it was again not possible to buy O’boy and the store shelves echoed empty all over Sweden.

Now deliveries of O’boy are back on track

But at the beginning of January, deliveries seemed to start rolling again to the stores.

Mondelez has stated that they are working full time at the O’boy factory in Upplands Väsby in Stockholm to secure deliveries, in order to increase production again as soon as possible. However, it is unclear when production will be in full swing again.

“Unfortunately, it is not possible to say anything about when we will be back in full production as this is due to conditions beyond our control,” wrote the press service Erik Lodding in an email to Dagligvarnytt.

That’s the O’boy status at Ica and Coop

On December 27, Coop’s press secretary announced Therese Knapp, in an email to Dagligvarunytt that the chain has started bringing in O’boy again and distributed it between its stores.

“The situation is better at Coop now. We have started to receive deliveries of O’Boy 1.1 kg which we distribute between our stores,” she wrote in her email to the newspaper.

According to a press officer at Ica, their stores should still have a certain shortage and the supply may vary in the different stores. But they should also have started to receive replenishment to their central warehouse.
