Last year, two pilots were carried out during the matches against Go Ahead Eagles and Heracles Almelo in the Galgenwaard. The province of Utrecht then announced that it would look back positively on the tests and that it would like to have the Uithoflijn run more often on weekends from 2026. This will already happen a year earlier.
From now on, Uithoflijn will always run on FC Utrecht match days
