On the night of January 5 to 6, 2025, the film by Brady Corbet (seen as an actor in Mysterious Skin Or Funny Games US) won three awards at the Golden Globes in the categories of Best Motion Picture, Drama, Best Actor for Adrian Brody, and Best Direction. It is already establishing itself, with Emilia Pérez winner in the comedy and musical categories, as one of the very serious competitors for the next Oscar ceremony.
In France, the public will not be able to discover The Brutalist before its cinema release, scheduled for February 12. This fresco, which takes place over nearly 30 years, tells the story of a Jewish architect born in Hungary. After experiencing hell in the concentration camps, he emigrated with his wife to the United States in order to achieve his American dream.
