Helmi Raijas and Wilma Sjöholm will move from the domestic courts to the Swedish leagues.
Defender Helmi Raijas19, moves to the ranks of Växjö, which plays in the Swedish premier league. HJK gets the transfer tangible transfer compensation.
The last two seasons, Raijas played in HJK’s league team, where he accumulated 43 games in the National League.
During the 2023–2024 seasons, he won the Finnish championship, the Finnish Cup, the National Cup, the silver in the National League and the silver in the Finnish Cup.
In recent years, Raijas has also been part of the national team of his age group. In the 2024 season, he played in the Finnish U23 national team and was also invited to the A national team, but he had to miss out due to an injury.
Växjö DFF finished eighth in the Damallsvenskan last season.
– Now I feel like I’m ready to take the next step in my career. I’m leaving for Sweden with really good feelings and I’m looking forward to starting everyday in the new team, Raijas says on the HJK website.
